The short version
LeanPaste needs access to image content currently placed on the Windows clipboard to perform its sole function. Image processing happens locally in the app's memory. Images are not uploaded, transmitted, or written to logs or settings.
Clipboard content
LeanPaste reacts only when Windows reports image content. Clipboard text is never read. The app does not create a clipboard history. Images may contain personal or sensitive material chosen by the user, so processing is deliberately local.
Restore last original
The most recent original image may be held temporarily in process memory solely for the visible Restore command. It is cleared when restored, replaced, or when LeanPaste exits.
Source-app exclusions
To support optional exclusions, LeanPaste briefly identifies the foreground executable when the clipboard changes. It does not read window titles. An executable name is saved only when you explicitly add that application to your exclusion list.
Local settings
The local settings file contains only enabled state, JPEG quality, maximum image dimension, notification preference, first-run acknowledgement, and executable names you explicitly excluded. It does not contain images or clipboard text.
Startup control
Optional sign-in startup is managed by Windows through the packaged startup-task mechanism. It remains visible and reversible in Windows Startup apps.
Accounts, network services, and payment
LeanPaste has no external account, image-processing server, analytics, advertising, crash-report upload, or external licensing service. Microsoft Store processes acquisition, payment, installation, and updates under Microsoft's policies.
